Long Distance (2024)

When an asteroid miner's craft tears apart on a blistering foreign world, you are thrust into a grainy, slow‑burn sci‑fi survival where every step feels heavy. Long Distance turns the barren landscape into a character, standing apart from the usual space‑faring fare with its claustrophobic, hand‑held cinematography that makes you feel every crack of the terrain. The lead’s quiet intensity anchors the entire tone, delivering an almost non‑verbal performance that keeps your focus on the psychological erosion of isolation. Yet its pacing sometimes drips, stretching moments where nothing seems to happen into long stretches that test patience. Still, this gritty, introspective narrative will leave you unsettled, questioning whether you’re merely watching a fly‑by or the descent of humanity itself.
