Lift (2024)

When your pulse races in sync with the roar of an aircraft, you know this is no ordinary heist. In Lift, you step into the mindset of an international crew whose plan hinges on a weighty T in midair, turning every cockpit control into a stage for suspense. The film's standout is Joaquin Phoenix’s command of silence, letting his stare do the talking as the plane climbs toward gravity's edge. Mid-act pacing drips into a brief detour that lengthens the build, but the climax regains its razor‑sharp edge. If you crave the blend of cinematic speed and intricate plotting typical of a high-stakes thriller, Lift keeps you riveted from takeoff to landing.
