Last Sentinel (2023)

Picture a war‑scarred ocean, a small outpost where the clock might never even turn. Last Sentinel pushes that claustrophobia into a raw psychological battlefield, forcing its four soldiers to confront not only the fallout of war but the depths of their own trust. Joaquin Phoenix carries each silent moment with an intensity that turns the interior of the base into a living, breathing character. If you thrive on tension that bleeds into paranoia, and you appreciate a script that rewards careful listening, this is yours. Though the first two acts are ponderous, the cinematic payoff before the relief crew's arrival feels earned.
