Kinds of Kindness (2024)

From the moment you slide into the cabin of a man who feels powerless, you are pulled into a world that refuses to hand over its secrets. The film’s triptych structure—interweaving three stories with a singular thematic focus—keeps the viewer in a constant state of anticipation. Joaquin Phoenix, reduced to a handful of sharp gestures, carries every scene with almost no dialogue, making his haunting performance feel like a living pulse. At times the pacing lags between the narrative threads, leaving you craving a tighter connective tissue. If you relish stories that reward patient, reflective viewing and thrive on psychological tension, this directed drama will keep you hooked.
