Katas (2024)

Shadow drips through the stairwell of Katas, and you feel the temperature drop as mid‑night hush settles over the mansion. The story's uniqueness comes from its slow reveal of power behind the polished façade in which a maid's routine becomes the key to the truth. A standout moment is the director's use of silence and flickering light to jolt you into the tension of unseen threats. You will enjoy the film if you have a taste for psychological thrillers that profit from atmosphere over exposition. The only hiccup is a late‑stage pacing lag that tightens the mystery too much before it resolves.
