Joker: Folie à Deux (2024)

Gripped by the dissonance of a man split, Joker: Folie à Deux (2024) places you in a dark samba of isolation and unexpected symphonies. Each scene feels anchored by Joaquin Phoenix, who carries the weight with almost no dialogue, turning emptiness into an aching motif. The unexpected turn at the midpoint, when a melodious interlude surfaces, reminds you that music can be the only safe harbor in a fractured world. Yet the film's pacing tapers after the first act, making the last act feel a touch too rushed. If you crave a cerebral psychological thriller woven with an unorthodox beat, this film will keep you turning its pages of melody and madness.
