Jawan (2023)

You find yourself slipping into a restless maze where every corridor holds an eye for justice. What sets the film apart is its relentless focus on a warden who turns his doctrine of punishment into a twisted courtroom of revenge, sparking a series of morally ambiguous acts. The standout moment comes when the prison's bleak cells transform into a black theatre, as inmates enact a chilling ballet of treachery that keeps you on edge. Pacing lags slightly in the middle, but the final act delivers a punchy resolution that brings the weight of the promise to a weary, cathartic close. You are drawn in by its razor‑sharp tone and will be satisfied by the haunting question of whether justice can ever be owned again.
