Influencers (2025)

Imagine walking the sun-soaked vineyards of Southern France, only to have the idyllic scenery fracture into a chilling tableau of obsession. The film unspools this obsession almost entirely through ambient sound and a sparse script, letting the landscape become a character in its own right. Cécile Bonnet delivers a haunting, almost monologue-less performance that keeps you guessing about her motives while the camera lingers on every detail of the rustic houses. At times, the second act drifts a bit, leaving you waiting for the payoff that never comes quickly enough. You may find yourself drawn in if you appreciate psychological thrillers that linger in the mind long after the credits roll.
