In the Morning of La Petite Mort (2023)

You imagine a night where hunger for bodies outweighs hunger for dinner. The film intertwines the lives of a Japanese food‑delivery man, a Taiwanese prostitute, and a Filipino cleaner, each driven by their own relentless appetite. Director Takashi Matsuo keeps the camera close, letting the food—shimmering soy and sashimi—serve as a sensual prop that heightens every encounter. Early scenes feel almost static, testing your patience before the energy finally erupts. It will appeal to mature viewers who relish unapologetic exploration of human desire.
