Humint (2026)

Intrigue unfolds not on a page but in the sleepless streets of Moscow, where you’re drawn into a chess game of shadows between a South Korean agent and a North Korean operative. The film keeps you guessing by blurring borders—political crime becomes personal as each character’s past pulses through the camera’s cold, archival glow. Bong Jae-keun’s meticulous direction, paired with a crisp, minimalist score and stunning cinematography, forces every frame to feel like a breath held between beats. However, the plot drags slightly in the middle act, giving you a few tense moments that linger more than fuel the story’s momentum. If you crave cerebral, tension‑laden thrillers where emotional stakes outweigh exposition, this will resonate with you.
