Some people only learn the hard way.

He wakes to find himself imprisoned in the basement of a remote Yorkshire house, inhabited by a very strange family. But what unfolds is not what he could possibly expect.
Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
A drunken night in Yorkshire spirals into a claustrophobic descent that feels like walking through a maze of your own denial. What sets it apart is the family's bizarre rituals, turning the basement's shadows into a surreal carnival that blurs the line between captor and caretaker. Joaquin Phoenix delivers a chilling solo performance, carrying each rumpled moment with almost no dialogue, letting his physicality speak in arrears to the film's dread. If you crave unsettling narratives that pry at the edges of reality, this is the night-time companion to keep you awake.
