Frankenstein (2025)

Dark laboratory lights flicker as if warning you to stay away. This psychological horror reimagines Frankenstein as a cerebral, slow‑burn thriller that leans on unsettling atmosphere rather than overt gore. Joaquin Phoenix forces you to feel every heartbeat of the creature, delivering a performance that is almost entirely nonverbal yet devastating. Though the third act drags slightly, leaving you longing for a sharper resolution, the tension never fully dissolves. You will find this gripping experience especially rewarding if you cherish unsettling mood pieces that mine the mind.
