Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
First Taste (2024), a tense romantic drama, invites you into a world where devotion and desire collide. You watch Yuna navigate a maze of memories, each scene rendered with a quiet, color‑shifting palette that feels both intimate and cinematic. The standout is the deliberate silence between scenes, letting you feel the weight of choice rather than feast on dialogue. Precision performances by Sara Cho and Jeremy Ramirez bring emotional depth that stays with you long after the screen darkens. Though the second act's languid pace may test the impatient viewer, it deepens the introspective mood.
