Encanto (2021)

Imagine feeling everyone’s gifts swirl right under your skin until one voice stands alone. In Encanto, a family’s magical house intertwines with Colombian folklore, giving the animated musical a richly textured, culturally infused world that feels both playful and profound. A standout moment is the choreography of ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’, where music turns into a living, breathing narrative that captures the absurdity and tenderness of the Madrigals’ secrets. You’ll root for the ordinary Mirabel when the story’s heart sweeps you into a laugh‑through‑tears adventure that balances humor with genuine family conflict. The pacing does lag a bit during the middle act, but the resolution restores the film’s original buoyant tempo.
