Must Watch

Every time you glance at an airplane you think of a routine escape, but in Emergency Declaration you feel the cabin become a ticking clock. The tense, all-Asian cast turns the terror threat into a human disaster, blurring borders as the fate of thousands hangs in the sky. The director’s choice to film the entire first act in a single, uninterrupted pan over the cramped seats pulls you under the tension of the unknown gas. At the midpoint the narrative slows, making the risk feel tentative. If you appreciate psychological thrillers that sacrifice plausibility for raw dread, you’ll be restless.
