Dumb Money (2023)

When you sit down to watch the single thread of a vlogger’s livestream, you become part of a viral wave you can’t escape, for better or worse. What sets this financial thriller apart is the film’s razor‑sharp use of real‑time social media screens, turning each scrolling moment into a heart‑pounding plot beat. The scene where Mark Rylance’s billionaire launches an unfiltered tirade over a webcam brings you face to face with the dark side of empire, an unsettling reminder that power can masquerade as entertainment. You’ll find that the movie thrives on its rapid pacing and commentary on the digital age, in which the stakes feel as high as an adrenaline junkie’s tremor. If the idea of stock market chaos played with your curiosity, you’ll find this tense, crowd‑sourced drama both a warning and a thrill.
