Drifting Home (2022)

You might expect a crowded summer jumble, but the film turns a deserted apartment block into a quiet, almost magical playground that plays with your senses. By letting a cluster of elementary kids navigate its crumbling halls free of adult interference, Drifting Home turns ordinary school corridors into metaphors for self‑discovery. The nights are illuminated by the children’s whispered voice‑overs that sound like a choir of doubts, an element that haunts you long after the credits roll. The pacing takes a breath midway that feels like a detour, yet it guards the surprise of the eventual reunion from feeling rushed. If you crave psychological adventure that thrives on silence and reflects the curious vulnerability of youth, this film will feel like a companion you never knew you needed.
