Devotion (2022)

Admiral ranks and a cyclone of jet engines pull you into a half‑century war that silently reverberates between stratosphere and earth. The film, Devotion, an intense war drama, reframes the bond between two U.S. Navy pilots into an almost tangible tether that keeps the viewer suspended in the cockpit. The aerial sequences are rendered with such precision that the swirling smoke becomes a living brushstroke, letting you feel the wind against your face. A minor flaw, however, is the drawn‑out opening that lingers past the usual anticipation of tension. You who thrive on adrenaline‑charged history paired with profound emotional depth will find Devotion a sobering but rewarding ride.
