Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
If you are searching for a sweeping love story that feels both intimate and monumental, you will find it here. This beautiful romance genre film uses the passage of time to excavate a love affair that should have remained buried in history. The centerpiece is the subtle, profound chemistry between the leads, especially during their conversation over faded letters. While the initial journey to Thailand can feel somewhat slow-burning, the third act suddenly gains emotional momentum when the truth about the letters surfaces. Ultimately, you will feel the weight of fifty years of unspoken sentiment making this an unforgettable experience.
