Plot Summary

In 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, a young grifter named Estella is determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

Must Watch

Picture the roaring streets of 1970s London where the clash of punk chaos and high fashion rewrites runway rules and you find yourself humming along to a bold soundtrack. What makes this film unique is the way it treats fashion as a weapon, letting every gown feel like a battle scar and every close‑up flash like a gamble. Joaquin Phoenix infiltrates the scene as the Baroness, delivering a chilling, almost silent performance that anchors the film’s most unforgettable moments. You will feel drawn in if you crave character‑driven drama that circumscribes moral ambiguity with razor‑cut costumes. The middle act lurches as the pacing slackens, leaving the hype out of sync with the story’s crescendo.
