Plot Summary

The world has been reduced to rubble by a massive earthquake. While no one knows for sure how far the ruins stretch, or what the cause of the earthquake may be, in the heart of Seoul there is only one apartment building left standing. It is called Hwang Gung Apartments. As time passes, outsiders start coming in to Hwang Gung Apartments trying to escape the extreme cold. Before long, the apartment residents are unable to cope with the increasing numbers. Feeling a threat to their very survival, the residents enact a special measure.

Must Watch

When Seoul's skeletal horizon collapses, you watch a single building become humanity's last refuge, and the suspense grips you anew. The film turns a cramped apartment into a tense microcosm, where loyalties fray under the shuddering cold. Jae‑woo anchors the story with a haunting, dialogue‑free presence that turns the stairwell into an almost choreographed crucible of survival. Fans who crave atmospheric dread and character‑driven tension will find it a must‑watch. The pacing, however, stalls after the entry queue swells, dragging the narrative into a humdrum intermission.
