Bubble (2022)

Imagine drifting through a Tokyo where bubbles rewrite gravity, each breath a step into liquid glass. In a sci-fi slow-burn, the world reshapes into a puzzle, marrying futurism with psychological intensity. The unapologetic visual style, with shimmering swirls and guttural soundscapes, turns the cityscape into a living dream, while the lead’s nuanced performance holds you in its quiet tautness. If you savor films that demand intellectual engagement and celebrate mysteries over simple thrills, this is a match. The pacing dips in the middle act, though, can leave you wondering how much time the story needs. The film’s title hints at the fragile nature of the world it creates.
