Brave Citizen (2023)

When a former champion turns to the academy, you’re pulled into a fight that’s less about ropes and more about justice. Brave Citizen, a gritty action drama, turns the locker‑room mask into a symbol of rebellion, letting you feel the weight of each punch in a palpable, claustrophobic way. What sets it apart is the protagonist’s home‑made mask, a contrast against the crimson of the gloves, that makes you see the rebellion drawn in her eyes. The film’s high‑contrast visuals make every blow feel like a sentence in a courtroom, but the third act skims on momentum, leaving the final sting a bit shallow. If you’re drawn to character‑driven crime stories with razor‑sharp action, you’ll find yourself standing in the teacher’s shoes, ready to punch injustice.
