Blacklight (2022)

Every frame of Blacklight pulls you deeper into a labyrinth of shadowed government secrets. Your nervous energy builds as Travis Block's hands only interrogation style refuses you a preview of the conspiracy's weight. The twist in the payoff, a sudden silence when the camera cuts, forces you to focus on the quiet before the storm. The tense rhythm may drift a bit in the middle, but its relentless mood and razor sharp environment keep you glued. If thrillers that pivot on psychological tension and sleek noir are your cup of tea you will find this sparingly drawn narrative satisfying.
