Black Crab (2022)

Watching Black Crab feels like stepping onto a bone‑chilling shoreline where every breath becomes a sacrifice. Its brutally realistic world‑building turns the icy sea into a character that stalks your senses, blurring the line between survival and horror. Joaquin Phoenix delivers a sparse, haunting presence that turns quiet moments into tense punctuation marks. You’ll be pulled into this relentless drama by a shadow of what’s lost, making you question how far one will go for love. Though the middle act drags a little, the film’s gritty, visceral payoff justifies the wait.
