Beautiful Disaster (2023)

When you first see the neon glow of the campus dorm, a romance roars into danger. Beautiful Disaster laces together clingy affection and searing conflict, turning a familiar YA love story into a sly edge of a psychological nightmare. The hallway confrontation, where shadows dance in sync with Abby’s turmoil, convinces you that tension can be a texture, not just a plot point. Pacing lags a touch in the third act, when Travis’s charismatic charm feels recycled instead of shocking. If you crave a story that wrestles deeply with past demons while holding onto a forbidden courtship, you’ll find this one both bright and brutal.
