Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
When the world goes quiet you might think silence could be soothing—Azrael (2024) is a dark fantasy thriller that flips that into a suffocating midnight ritual. The film’s silent rule forces you to decode every glance, every breath, turning your own silence into a character that drips with dread. A standout moment occurs when the lead’s single tear ripples across stone, echoing the oppressive score that makes the emptiness feel alive. Pacing dips after the first act, letting tension simmer too long before the final confrontation snaps the story into motion. It’s perfect for fans of psychological thrillers who love a raw, soundless ambiance.
