Plot Summary
The Aral Sea tragedy of human-made desertification, and portraits of the Karakalpakan people still living on the sea coast, with no access to fresh water. “The waters of the Amurdarya and Surdarya rivers were turned towards the watering of the cotton fields and as a result there was a sharp shallow and pickling of the sea”.
