500 Miles (2026)

You almost feel your own pulse echoing the windswept cliffs of the Irish coast as two brothers escape the fractures of their home. With its tight, almost claustrophobic focus on a broken family, the film refrains from grand spectacle, opting instead for raw, unscripted moments that surface between the boom mic and the rolling waves. The uninterrupted eight minute shots of the sea carry a calm that pulls you into the brothers’ silent journey. If you appreciate slow burn family drama that rewards patient viewing, but be prepared for a few pacing lulls mid film, this will resonate.
